Aquamation® uses warm water and natural alkalinity to gently return your pet to its natural elements. There is no fire, no harsh conditions—only a calm, respectful process that mirrors nature itself.

Aquamation® typically returns more of your pet’s remains than traditional flame cremation, resulting in a greater amount of soft, ash-like cremains. Steps to Arrange Aquamation®

Step 1: Contact Our Team



  • By Phone – Speak directly with a caring member of our team
  • In Person – Meet with us privately at our facility
  • Online – Complete arrangements from the comfort of your home at any time

Step 2: Transfer Into Our Care

Your pet may be:

  • Brought directly to our facility by your family, or
  • Transferred into our care from your veterinary office (when available)

Once your pet arrives, they are carefully identified and respectfully cared for throughout the entire process using strict tracking procedures.


Step 3: Aquamation® Process

Your pet is individually placed into our Aquamation® system, where a gentle water-based process naturally returns the body to its basic elements. Aquamation® is a peaceful alternative to flame cremation that uses warm water and alkalinity rather than fire.

After the process is complete, your pet's cremains are placed in the urn or container of choice to be returned to the family.


Step 4: Preparation of Aquamated Remains & Memorial Items

Your pet’s cremains are placed into the urn or container selected by your family. Any personalized memorial items or keepsakes are also prepared during this time. Our typical turnaround time from arrangements to pickup is: Approximately 1 Week

Step 5: Return Home

Once everything is ready, we will contact you to arrange pickup.

Every Pet Aquamation® Package includes a custom engraved memorial keepsake created in-house by Aqua Farewells. Using a favorite photo of your beloved companion, we carefully craft a personalized piece of artwork designed to celebrate their life and preserve their memory. This unique keepsake provides families with a lasting tribute that can be displayed in the home as a daily reminder of the love, loyalty, and special moments shared with their pet.
